Lina was born in Fort Bragg, NC and was raised in south Texas. She enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 2011, attending boot camp at Paris Island, SC and Basic Combat Training at New River, NC; followed by her MOS training as a 0431 Logistics Specialist in the same location. She was an active member of the United States Marine Corps for four years. As a distinguished logistics specialist she served on the 26th MEU in 2013. Growing up in a military family she always knew she wanted to continue the tradition of defending the country and her values. During the duration of her enlistment, Sgt Oliva held a variety of staff assignments, including carrying out logistics operations for various deployments and exercises and ensuring and maintaining the accurate and timely processes of transportation and logistic functions. After honorably completing her enlistment, Sgt Oliva went on to obtain her Bachelors of Science in Health Administration with the hopes to continue her education further by obtaining a Master’s.
